.@ChuckRossDC, the facts are not on your side. In the book, we reported the Steele memos were full of unconfirmed allegations. And we reported that there was little time in Moscow for Trump to have the alleged pee party....
We reported that Steele thought that allegation was at best 50-50.
I have repeatedly said Steele memo specifics were unproven. But I have said his first memo hit themes—Moscow attempting to cultivate Trump and interactions between Trump campaign and Russia—that did line up with information that emerged later.
The book does not hail the memos. And the memos were not the basis for our conclusion that Trump “aided and abetted” Putin’s attack on a US election.
