What's the most random and unexpected scene in a movie that's made you emotional? Mine is in the "Iron Giant" when he sheepishly sneaks into a field to eat the metal towers because he's hungry. It was so vulnerable and I felt so bad for him that I remember crying as a kid.
By the way, I sincerely love all you are starting out your replies with "Well, this scene isn't exactly unexpected but..." 😂
By the way, I did not expect to be utterly destroyed by "A.I.: Artificial Intelligence" when I watched it a few years ago, but that movie completely wrecked me. I'm like, "Oh, Spielberg, this'll be a fun flick." NO, it batters in your heart, incinerates it, and buries the ashes.
I was legit in a depressive funk FOR DAYS after watching that movie. Just could not shake the ending.
By the way, if you have serious issues with your parents--if they were abusive or abandoned you--don't watch this movie. It's not worth your time. Trust me.
