So they collected metadata. Not content. It’s not like they were listening to all those calls. Just mapping to look at a network. I don’t think this is as big a deal as the outrage merchants want it to be. It’s like how toll bridges collect license plate data, no?
Love how they threw in Mueller’s name just to up the fake outrage factor. This story is a meh, in my non-expert opinion. If they were LISTENING to the calls, I’d be outraged. But they weren’t. I mean is there expectation of metadata privacy when using the mail? The content of
mail is protected but the outsides of letters aren’t. Ie the to & from on letters could be legally collected, no? What am I missing here?
