@Darryl_Annison @CHSommers Thanks for reading. Liberals have become obsessed with white guilt & western oppression, so they're only interested in social justice issues that pit minorities against westerners. They can't process a scenario that falls outside those boundaries.
@Darryl_Annison @CHSommers This is my understanding anyway. .@CHSommers brought up the Charlie Hebdo attack & the evidence that Islam is given special treatment regarding critisism & free speech. Roxane responded by saying that Christianity is the dominant oppressor so critisising it is punching up
@Darryl_Annison @CHSommers But critisising Islam on the basis of a few extremists, while billions live peacefully, is punching down b/c they're already victims. Is she not aware of Islamic history? Or the treatment of minorities in Muslim majority countries?
@Darryl_Annison @CHSommers Oppression is oppression, regardless of the identity of the perpetrator. They seem happy to point this out in defence of Muslims but never in condemnation of them. The double standards destroy their credibility & undermines Muslims who know they would be doing better.
