I think @cgartenberg makes good points here cinematically and culturally but the “never let things end” trope is actually a core element of the medium behind the #MCU: Comics. In a way, the whole point of comics is that they’re true “neverending stories.”

Heroes rarely die—and even if they do, their “real” identity, the mask and costume, usually lives on with another wearer. Universes are destroyed and reborn. Stories are told and re-retold. The medium has more in common with mythology than with most other forms of storytelling.
Anyway, “things should be allowed to end” seems like a somewhat silly charge to make given the nature of comics, whether you like the idea of an Endgame credit sequence or not.
