@LawrenceBJones3 @FoxNews That’s a cheap tactical backpack with a MOLLE attachment system (cosplay types refer to stuff like that as “EDC”, for “every day carry”).

That’s a cheap backpack that you’re wearing backwards.

You’re wearing a backpack with the “cool part” facing camera.

On purpose.
@LawrenceBJones3 @FoxNews I recognized the pack; it's similar to one I bought my kid for a costume. So I cropped it for a reverse image search, and…
@LawrenceBJones3 @FoxNews A plate carrier has a cummerbund-style waistband to hold armor plates.

What you're wearing has backpack waist straps.

Because it's a backpack.

That you're wearing backwards.

Like a boss.
@LawrenceBJones3 @FoxNews Armor Express contracts with CBP for their protection gear.

Here are their plate carriers:

armorexpress.com/product-catego…

Can't seem to find your knock-off backwards backpack on there.
@LawrenceBJones3 @FoxNews Adding new info:

Gov't guidelines require, "the sides of the torso armor should always
overlap by approximately two inches front to back (i.e., the front panel should lie on top of the back
panel)."

Pg. 24, ncjrs.gov/pdffiles1/nij/…
@LawrenceBJones3 @FoxNews Closing with this: if it's truly a plate carrier, I'll archive and remove my backpack tweets, & post a retraction (linking to the archive for transparency).

In any case, I don't believe he's wearing a CBP-issued plate carrier meeting federal guidelines for body armor.

Be well.
@LawrenceBJones3 @FoxNews I see that GoGurt.
@LawrenceBJones3 @FoxNews Okay, two final things:

1) The GoGurt was photoshopped in as a joke; the original photo makes it clear that the pouch doesn't have a GoGurt pack sticking out. It's actually raisins, and they're fully enclosed. 😏

2) I'm muting this thread now. It's been fun.
