Is Thornberry suggesting that the Ecuadorians "clearly" warned the Americans, because that is not what the Ecuadorians have said? Or is she just making the same assumptions about the little brown country doing what it's told, just like those she's distancing herself from?
Thornberry has 'clearly' smelt the coffee and will doubtless pick up the praise for doing so. What commentators will not do is notice her side swipe at the Ecuadorians that is actually a continuation of the same conspiracism others have advanced. Neat trick.
Just checking the reactions and yep, across the board people aren't picking up what she's actually saying about Ecuador. They really are the invisible people in this whole farce.
Pretty much everyone makes the assumption that the Ecuadorians do what America says. I've seen this is straight reporting. It's not fact-related. For one thing people forget that America needs Ecuador to counter Venezuela.
