He's Shadow Minister for International Development. Carden's footprint on Syria is mainly about opposing bombs, rather than, say, issues like what's happening to a Syrian refugee camp. As is STWC's.
Here's Carden regurgitating propaganda lines on Nicaragua, Venezuela and Cuba. If he was talking policy on Yemen last night then surely he's talking policy here as well? So Labour is pro-Daniel Ortega?
Carden along with another Shadow Minister Karen Lee and other Labour MPs, tried to take over the Parliamentary Group on Venezuela three weeks ago. Presumably to turn it pro-Maduro.

Carden and others like (Shadow Minister) Richard Burgon have promoted Stop The War Coalition's idea of an 'ethical foreign policy' to zero examination by the media. Similarly Emily Thornberry's promotion of Kremlin lies on Syria has gone by largely unnoticed.
Labour's critics have not used any of this, in part because they're too focused on the past - as we just saw over Corbyn's visit to Chilean UNHCHR Chief Michele Bachelet. … This needs to change.
