I’m deeply disappointed to share this news with you. The judge ruled against me. I’m so sorry to say this but it looks like Cambridge Analytica got away with it. They’ll now be liquidated despite @ICOnews describing mass data abuse in US elections in report to @CommonsCMS.
Please pledge to my legal defense fund as I will liable for costs even though I put myself at great risk in the public interest. Every donation makes a difference and now I really need people to show their support for this cause. crowdjustice.com/case/scl/
If you read the judgement you’ll realize that this particular statement by the ICO to DCMS (submitted as evidence) was completely disregarded by Justice Norris as to whether the administrators showed bias against me as a data claimant or a public interest consideration. Stunning.
The English justice system is for the wealthy and powerful. I am neither. This could very well be the end of the road for me. A data quest unfulfilled. Authorities evaded. Questions unanswered. But we fought hard, learned a lot but have more work to do.
The definitive press coverage of this case was written by @NicoHines who was at the trial on March 18, 2019 where we argued before Justice Norris to challenge the liquidation. Now we know the resulting decision in Emerdata’s favor. thedailybeast.com/cambridge-anal…
And @NicoHines also covered the criminal prosecution of Cambridge Analytica by the ICO for refusing to respond to the order to answer questions and disclose additional data epitomizing their evasion of the authorities and accountability. thedailybeast.com/cambridge-anal…
Since people are asking, I’ll just say that an appeal would require generous donations far beyond what’s already needed to cover the accrued adverse costs. Deep pocketed donors may transact directly with my solicitor @RaviNa1k
We fought to have the court move CA/SCL into state receivership. An insolvency practitioner from KPMG was then prepared to take the job to pursue unresolved questions about mass data abuse claims. Crowe, the now appointed liquidator, refused to contend with profound data issues.
One way to help me is to post my crowdjustice link⬆️ to Facebook. I quit that hellsite. But if you’re still on Facebook, it tends to raise more funds than from Twitter. (If I post my crowdjustice link too many times twitter blocks it on my account for anti-spam). Thank you all!
After digging into the #MuellerReport and its redactions it is interesting to ponder some clues to CA/SCL. First we have section of Crowe’s public update. Note cooperation with DOJ. Then note 3 paragraphs from judgment against me that cite court’s confidence in this cooperation.
There’s a lot going on here.
If (BIG IF) Cambridge Analytica was referred as outside scope then it I suppose it could be listed alphabetically before Cohen as #1? I'm sure people could think of other likely possibilities that could fit in A-Coh…
