AG Barr’s handling of the #MuellerReport has been regrettably partisan, including his slanted 3/24 summary letter, irresponsible testimony before Congress, & indefensible plan to spin the report in a press conference today—hours before he allows the public or Congress to see it.
This has resulted in a crisis of confidence in AG Barr’s independence & impartiality.

We believe the only way to begin restoring public trust in the handling of the Special Counsel’s investigation is for Mueller himself to provide public testimony in the House & Senate ASAP.
The American people deserve to hear the truth.

I’ve heard criticism both publicly and privately that suggests that — when corporate executives and shareholders are given free rein to decide how to appropriately reallocate capital offered through stock buybacks and dividends — it works out best for society.

I simply disagree.
Fact #1: Income inequality has grown dramatically over the past several decades as the distribution of wealth and income has skewed more and more to the top.

It's been one week since I challenged @SenateMajLdr McConnell to finally agree to 3 principles:

1. Climate change is real
2. It's caused by humans
3. Congress needs to act

I still haven't heard anything from him. But here's what happened this week in GOP climate denial instead:
President @realDonaldTrump's administration decided all on their own to end talks with California about whether the state is allowed to set its own fuel-efficiency standards: sfgate.com/business/artic…
The @WhiteHouse wants to appoint William Happer to chair a panel on climate change & national security.

Happer actually believes more carbon dioxide is good.

He's even compared the "demonization of CO2" to the treatment of "Jews under Hitler."

Ok, message to #TheResistance, Monday morning quarterbacks and millennials. Assume everything you "hope" will happen won't and plan accordingly. Allow me to list; assume that
1. #Mueller will not testify in front of Congress and if he does then he will not confirm anything
Assume:

2. If #Mueller does speak he will say he meant for AG Barr to determine the obstruction conclusion
3. AG Barr will not release the #MuellerReport
4. Dem leadership will let this slide
5. Trump will not be impeached
6. Trump will be elected in 2020

AND ACT ACCORDINGLY
Assume:
8. Enough people will assume that Trump did not kill the ACA.
9. The rust belt will not revolt at the obvious lack of jobs.
10. Very few people watch cable TV
11. Those who have not decided or might flip their vote in 2020 don't want you calling them racist

The #MuellerReport was skewed in Trump's favor from the start b/c Mueller can't indict Trump & he can't disclose non-indictable wrongdoing. Congress has taken up that broader universe of fact-finding. Notably, Trump hasn't provided a single document. Many investigations continue.
As I said from Mueller's 1st days, focusing solely on criminal conduct misses a whole host of unprecedented wrongdoing we don't even have vocabulary for let alone laws against. Trump campaign's conduct w/ Russia may not be indictable, but is wrong & threatens national security.
