/ This is why we can't have nice things. It's not "The Daily Caller", it's "CheckYourFact.com", which while related to The Daily Caller, is editorially independent. Moreover, all the fact checking sides, partisan or not, thoroughly document their facts, and are accountable
/ You can checkout CheckYourFact.com yourself (or @Check_Your_Fact) and evaluate for yourself their credibility. I have, and I can find nothing wrong with them.
/ Do wind farms cause cancer, as Trump claims? Their answer is entirely predictable:
checkyourfact.com/2019/04/09/fac…
/ What's important about the partisanship of factchecking like PolitiFact or FactCheck.org isn't whether they are right (they usually are), but which facts they choose to debunk. They often fail to challenge bad statements made by their own political side.
/ Hopefully, a right-wing CheckYourFact.com will challenge falsehoods that left-wing sides like Politifact would ignore.
/ When I said "accountable" I meant "to the reader". When they claim something is true or false, they include EVIDENCE for that assertion, which you can check yourself, in wonkish way that's often removed from news stories because it's boring.
/ If you disagree with a fact checker, they've documented their sources well-enough that you can simply point to those sources to explain why the fact checker is wrong.
/ It's what makes "fact checkers" like Snopes, and fact sites like Wikipedia, different than the trashfire that is junk news, opinion, and rhetoric: they rigorously support any statement they make by citing the source for it.
