BuzzFeed & @BuzzFeedBen deserve credit. They did what a responsible media outlet does in such cases. It's the rest of the media celebrating themselves & their vindication- as though they've spent 3 years warning no evidence can establish collusion & blackmail- that's the problem:
As a reminder, even vehement anti-Trump insiders in the intelligence community were trying to war Dems as early as March, 2017, that there would be no evidence of Trump/Russia conspiracy over the election. But humans often believe what they wish were true nbcnews.com/news/us-news/c…
Even more revealing than the warnings from Morell (who endorsed Hillary) not to expect Trump/Russia conspiracy evidence, James Clapper stated definitively in March, 2017 that he never saw any such evidence either. He was Director of National Intelligence! nbcnews.com/meet-the-press…

This is actually a decent article on the outstanding & high-impact political reporting being done by @theintercept under its superb DC Bureau Chief @ryangrim. Whoever wrote the click-baity headline doesn't seem to understand journalism's purpose, but the article itself is good:
It's also bizarre how many people continue to speak as though the Mueller Report found a sprawling Trump/Russia conspiracy & therefore those of us who were skeptical about it from the start (as opposed to those who bought into the conspiracy theory) have been shamed.
It's also bizarre how many people who decide to work in DC in both politics and journalism are such cowards that they can only express their views while hiding behind anonymity. This is an old pathology but one that still reflects how craven Washington culture is.

It seems like everyone of good faith should be eager to investigate how a false, fraudulent dossier full of fake, inflammatory claims made its way to the highest levels of the US Government and then into the heart of US political and media discourse for two-plus years:

One of the worst falsehoods about the Mueller Report is that it only concluded there wasn't enough evidence to justify indictments for Trump/Russia conspiracy. That's true for *some* claims. But for other key claims, it went much further: explicitly saying it found *no evidence*:

The point of @PeteButtigieg wasn't that Trump & Sanders are similar. His actual point needs to be understood: anyone who wants to win, not just in the US but across the democratic world, has to be viewed as opposed to the prevailing order. It's often more important than ideology:
Remember Bannon said Hillary was the perfect opponent for Trump because she was perceived as an establishment guardian of the status quo. That's why Bolsonaro won, & so many other extremists perceived as hostile to the hated ruling class. It's why Bernie would've won in 2016.
Wittingly or not, Buttigieg is highlighting Sanders' greatest strength as a candidate: the same key asset that drove both Obama & then Trump to victory (and so many others around the world, including the comedian in Ukraine): he stands outside of, & against, the neoliberal order.

Most of the abuses that this sector of media is critical about come from internet giants, who pay lip service in response, because those abuses are very profitable, & regulation is unlikely in the US & users not motivated enough to change their usage of networks. /2
US regulation that would help stop the criticized practices is unlikely to help, mainly because Congress isn't qualified to design these regulations, so they would leave it to lobbyists working for the industry to be regulated /3

The video indicates that he was shot behind a barricade from burned buses that covered him from police. It shows him behind the bus barricade in a red helmet & with a stick at 54 sec and then his red helmet falling behind the bus at 1:13 after a gunshot.
Forensic medical examination found that he was killed from close distance of no more than 3 to 5 meters, while this video and other videos show the Berkut police much further. It determined that he was shot in chest from top to bottom & left to right directions.

per @fielding's disseration, in order to achieve his desired architectural properties (chap02) and meet the WWW's domain requirements (chap04), he wanted to establish a set of required constraints (chap05). most ppl just focus on chap05 and i recommend focusing on chap02. 2/10
there @fielding makes a case that arch properties are induced by the set of contraints you select. thus, he creates his set of contraints for inducing his desired properties and names that #REST. 3/10

Military says it has killed 65 AQ members in Afg this year. "We've been actively hunting AQ from the lowest rifleman up to their emir and everyone in between," Gen. Nicholson told me. But majority of CT strikes now are against IS-K.
Over the past 17 years, AQ, the group that brought the US to Afg, has always been a high priority for the CT folks, meaning the JSOC task force and the intel community (IC). But, just as it's not the priority today, it's often gotten pushed behind bigger Taliban fight.
