Many who want to destroy the original beauty of Notre Dame & rebuild it in their own image will do so under the guise of “inclusivity” or “sticking it to the Alt-Right” but it’s actually just a big “Fuck You” to Catholics about one of our most beautiful buildings during HolyWeek.
I can’t imagine telling my Muslim or Jewish or Hindu friends to forget how their beautiful mosque or synagogue or temple looked before it caught fire & instead to rebuild it how ***I*** want it to look & I know they feel the same.

The audacity of these think pieces is laughable.
If you want to tell Catholics how to rebuild a Catholic Cathedral, please feel free to do so. We are always looking for new converts to join RCIA, it takes less than a year, & Easter next year after you’re welcomed into the Church I will be very interested to hear your thoughts!
