Kudos to the Times for publishing this @jaycaspiankang piece that's putatively about Mayor Pete, but is more accurately an indictment of elite media identity politics as practiced at the New York Times and elsewhere. nytimes.com/2019/04/24/mag…
I read the piece wondering if Frank Bruni recognizes himself in the critique. I wonder how popular Kang is around the Old Grey Lady offices.
I just love the "bite the hand" tone of @jaycaspiankang's piece. I mean, he calls out the readers of his own publication. He's not particularly coy about his message.
I wonder if when the Times hands out free swag to the staffers if Kang gets the defective one, like a Patagonia fleece vest with the Times logo, but the zipper is broken. That busted zipper should be seen as a badge of honor.
