The 2019 HUAWEI MateBook X PRO IS STILL THE BETTER MacBook PRO with Windows.
THREAD
When Huawei released the original MateBook X Pro last year, I wasn't entirely sure the company knew what it had created. Huawei has only been in the laptop business for about three years, a relatively short time compared to industry veterans like Apple, Dell, Lenovo and others.
Now for 2019, Huawei is back with a refreshed version of Matebook X pro sporting a number of notable upgrades that makes the company's flagship laptop an even better package.

The 2019 X Pro comes with Bluetooth 5.0 and a new Thunderbolt 3.0 USB-C port for increased connectivity. Meanwhile, the new MX 250 GPU makes editing photos and videos just a bit more enjoyable, allowing the X Pro to better handle huge files that sometimes affected it's predecesor
Annoyingly, Huawei still partitions the 2019 X Pro’s SSD into a small 80GB drive for Windows 10 and assorted software, with the rest of the space going to a larger partition for extra storage.
The final big upgrade, aside from improved cooling, is Huawei Share 3.0 which includes the company’s new OneHop share feature that lets you transfer pics, videos, and other files between the laptop and a phone just by tapping the handset on the X Pro’s deck.
As long as you own an Huawei phone with EMUI 9 or higher. You're good. In practice, the one hop works well, but most people do not use Huawei products so it's a red flag.
Most of the changes are internal, like the faster 802.11ac WiFi which lets you browse at a peak of over 350Mbps. It also comes with Bluetooth 5.0 and the new USB thunderbolt 3.0 type-C port for increased connectivity.
It's battery life remains strong and it's 13.9 inch display is incredibly bright and vibrant. It's keyboard remains way better than anything available on any current MacBook.
It also has a quite tricky webcam which affects the view angle (I personally find it fascinating).
So, generally this device is a portable machine which is quite pricey (just like all Huawei products), goes for about 1,200USD.
And I hope Huawei will thrive in the laptop market just as it is thriving in the Smartphone market.
