The redacted Mueller report was made public ten days ago. Congress got it the same time we did, which in and of itself is indefensible. They should have had it as soon as Barr did....
Prior to the report, they had already subpoenaed Deutsche Bank and Mazar ( accounting firm). The had subpoenaed the IRS for six years of Trump’s tax returns....
Mnuchin jumped in ( which he is not supposed to do); Trump is trying to forbid current and former staff from testifying. McGahn has been subpoenaed....
Carl Kline, the employee who overruled the IC community’s recommendations against giving Kushner, Ivanka and about 25 others security clearances they shouldn’t have been given....
Kline is currently in contempt of Congress. Many Americans and TV talking heads are screaming for impeachment. I lived through both Watergate and the Starr investigation....
What you’re seeing right now is impeachment - which in itself is the process of investigation, to see of the President should be removed from office....
Impeachment itself does not guarantee removal; only conviction after a Senate trial does that. We know this Senate will never convict Trump....

In part, I suspect Trump wants impeachment. Since he knows he won’t be convicted, he may be able to spin this to his advantage....
So they are being deliberate and careful, as they should. To constantly whine the House is doing nothing is ignorant and annoying....
Did I also mention the report dropped while Congress was in recess? That Barr called a press conference that was an out and out lie before the report was available?...
That we have another AG as Trump lap dog, not the AG for the country? Keep your eyes on the prize, which is getting Trump out of office. ...

If you want to criticize 2020 candidates’ policies here fine. The moment you tell me Warren isn’t likable or you don’t like Klobuchar’s hair, you’re gone....

On occasion, I get it wrong. But I was a news researcher at the Associated Press for a decade. This was pre-Internet, so that meant hours of microfilm and dusty clippings and interviewing family members and such like. I am far from infallible, but I know my shit. <end>
