Tremendous real-world example of web-literacy from @JennBinis illustrating what @holden preaches with his "moves" for fact checking. Jenn's already a skilled expert, but in my experience, students love doing this kind of work when they're chasing down their own questions.
There was a recent Chronicle piece from @becksup on @holden and his work. We can and should transition into using these techniques in writing courses. These skills are vital, IMO. chronicle.com/article/Studen…
And once students learn these things in school, they can go home and teach them to their parents.
