The U.K. local election results so far - commentary is confusing, or possibly confused? (Thread)
Of course the one angle everyone looks at is Brexit. And while the talk of the last weeks was the Brexit party surge in polls, the ballot box has the LibDems up. Has the electorate turned against Brexit?
Well. You cannot say that. Because Labour is officially pro-Brexit while trying to also be pro-Remain.
But the one thing that local elections anywhere in the world are apparently never about is local matters. Clearly.
And yes. The Brexit party did not run. That would have given us even more of a chance to frame everything as Brexit.
