I'm no constitutional scholar, but this sounds pretty g.d. unconstitutional to me.
I seem to be in one of my "g.d." moods, which is what happens when I find myself saying "fucking" and "hey, Franklin Graham, go eat a bag of dicks" too much.
Has anyone in history ever actually uttered "g.d." besides Martha, right before "swamp"?

[For the record, Albee renders it "G.D.," though there's a typo in my 1962 hardcover, so it's "A.G.D. swamp."]
[As opposed, that is, to "A G.D. swamp."]

The #MuellerReport is indeed a national disgrace. By which of course I mean the double spaces after the periods.
Unless you were taught typing on a Smith Corona Super Sterling by Mrs. Tegnell in 1973, I don't want to hear your feckless excuses.
Type however you like, no one cares. When you're done, do a search and replace (replacing two spaces with one, obvs) repeatedly, which will also get rid of those spaces you inadvertently left in place while rewriting.

If you don't, someone else will.

Save "laid" for "I laid the bloody knife on the davenport."

For instance.

I read a comic today where I liked the writing, liked the art, liked the premise and the plot, but something wasn’t quite clicking, and then I figured out what it was:
The writer was writing the book as if he expected the artist to take charge of the pacing, and the artist was drawing it as if he was expecting the writer to do it.

The result was, a lot of the scenes felt vague, unfocused.
The artist is like the director/cameraman, choosing how to tell the story visually. If a scene ends on a moment of emotional isolation that the reader is meant to pause on, a camera move — pulling back, zooming in — can make you feel it more.

Today's #ImmigrationTip is something I find myself saying multiple times a day.

Don't wait to find a solution to your immigration problem. The laws we use to help you are being attacked and we can't guarantee they will be around.

I'll give two examples.
We represent a woman who was brutally abused by her partner. When we got the case, it was a slam dunk asylum claim under Matter of A-R-C-G-, 26 I&N Dec. 388 (BIA 2014).

Sessions vacated that decision in Matter of A-B-, 27 I&N Dec. 316 (A.G. 2018). Now her case is much weaker.
Today I talked to a TPS holder married to a US citizen. The law in the 6th and 9th circuits allows him to file directly for a green card. Otherwise, he has to risk leaving and coming back in with a travel document. But there is a way - the clients just didn't know it.

so. i dropped out of the conference scene by and large for a few years for a variety of reasons. the last couple of years i have been returning to it. i'm just home from two conferences in three weeks.
i am not an extrovert, at conferences, i like to hang around with individuals or small groups. and i am drawn to smart weird people, because reasons. i am one of those people who prefers intimacy and authenticity in my interactions.
many of those smart weird people are women. the barriers to entry in our trade have the unfortunate positive value for me that it is far easier for me to find smart weird likable open people who happen to be women.

1. Hard work is required for success, but it is, in of itself, not enough. You need to be lucky.
2. Sometimes luck can be more important than hard work.
