Trying to get additional information on this now. @BNONews reporting a commercial 737 down outside of Jacksonville.
Mayor of Jacksonville, FL confirms that there is a commercial aircraft down. No additional details yet. twitter.com/lennycurry
Jacksonville mayor clarifies that all on board appear to be accounted for
Initial reports saying that the aircraft, possibly a 737, skid off the runway and into St. Johns River. news4jax.com/news/fire-resc…
Clarification: This is not a commercial flight. It is a Miami Air charter 737 operating to @NASJax_.

This was *not* a commercial flight.
.@flightradar24 data ends with the aircraft at 975 feet approaching NIP from the east, eventually ending up in the river to the west of the field.

There's quite a lot of distance separating the end of the runway and the river. Guess it just wasn't enough this time. #BSK293
@flightradar24 correction: approached from the west, ended up in the river to the east of the field.
Safe assumption to say weather will have played a role in this incident. Radar shows a fairly heavy thunderstorm moving over the field right when #BSK293 was landing.
Looks like evacuating passengers are actually wearing life vests. How rare!

Planespotters.net shows that N732MA has been leased to @TUINederland for the busy summer season the last few years. That won't be happening in 2019.
