@expressionessd1 @AmberRuddHR @Shelter Yes, unfortunately. Shelter made major errors of judgement, and have serious lapses in understanding of disabled people's needs. The way one of em spoke to my adult disabled daughter in particular (accusing her of acting like a child when she disagreed with him!) was appalling.
@expressionessd1 @AmberRuddHR @Shelter Shelter refused to help us with our Appeal against the intentional homelessness decision; tried to force us into a dangerous journey from Cornwall into a rough sleeping situation; refused to give us key information about Redbridge's legal duties.
@expressionessd1 @AmberRuddHR @Shelter Shelter made things so much harder for us, particularly while we were in Cornwall, and I was heading towards a life threatening relapse of the sepsis, that hospitalised me for a second time before Xmas.
@expressionessd1 @AmberRuddHR @Shelter In fact, Shelter tried to force us into face to face meetings with Redbridge even after we had informed them that Redbridge were acting abusively in these meetings, to the point they have actively harmed my daughter.
@expressionessd1 @AmberRuddHR @Shelter And even recently, Shelter were implicated in a falsehood being propagated by Redbridge Council about our appeal against the "intentional homelessness" decision. Shelter have failed to clarify or dissassociate from that implication.
@expressionessd1 @AmberRuddHR @Shelter Shelter also took part in disability discrimination against my daughter - while I was dangerously ill in hospital - by refusing to recognise, even though they knew, that she was my co-tenant, co-appellant and co-applicant for emergency housing.
@expressionessd1 @AmberRuddHR @Shelter Indeed, the rampantly discriminatory way my adult disabled daughter and co-tenant, co-appellant, co-applicant for emergency housing (and at one point a co-defendant) has been treated by Redbridge Council, Shelter, and the COURTS has been SHOCKING.
@expressionessd1 @AmberRuddHR @Shelter This blatant disability discrimination against my DAUGHTER in particular will have to be dealt with in due course by us.
