🚨RESCUE DOG ALERT🚨 This is Ghost. He’s a 7-year-old direwolf whose longtime owner abandoned him after moving in with his aunt, claiming the big guy was “too much work” and “didn’t get along with her pet lizards.” 🤦♂️ Ghost is clearly heartbroken and confused... (1/2) 
...but we think it’s for the best since Ghost was clearly suffering from neglect and abuse. (That ear! 😢) Thankfully he’s settling in with his awesome new foster dad Tormund, who will take him on lots of snowy day hikes and feed him plenty of giant’s milk. (2/2) #GameofThrones
FOLLOW-UP! While Ghost may be A) fictional, and B) safe in the capable hands of Tormund Giantsbane, there are many dogs outside Westeros that aren't always so lucky. It's awesome to see the outpouring of love for the Goodest Boy in the North... (cont.)
...and I think it would great to honor Ghost by supporting actual dog rescues and shelters. Here in LA, I work with @Maedayrescue, fostering rescue dogs until they find forever homes. They're always in need of donations, which go straight to supplies and vet visits... (cont.)
And @Maedayrescue is just one piece of the puzzle. Find a rescue or shelter in your city that needs help--donations, fostering, volunteers--and step up for all the direwolves who need good homes. Who doesn't want to be some dog's Tormund? (cont.)
