One example: Macron is one of the few EU leaders to have commented so publicly on the recent UN climate change report – and is the only EU leader to have stuck with the EU position of opposing trade deals with countries not in the Paris climate agreement
Point being: regardless of whether one agrees with Macron’s ideas or not, at least - from climate change to far-right nationalism - he isn’t shying away, but responding to the scale of the challenges Europe faces.
