Wow, this is genuinely amazing. Great for humanity. I'm not kidding in the slightest
I really think so many psychological maladies could be mitigated (or cured) if more people consumed psilocybin mushrooms -- ideally in a controlled environment with proper supervision if necessary. It's always been a disgrace that the Govt. criminalizes the use of this substance
Some journalist should ask Colorado presidential candidates John Hickenlooper (former mayor of Denver) and Michael Bennet how they feel about this groundbreaking referendum, including whether they voted for it. Also ask if they themselves would be willing to consume mushrooms!
The scientific evidence demonstrating the multifold benefits of psilocybin mushrooms is now indisputable, and thankfully the citizenry is finally acting through the political process. I actually did a great interview with Rick Doblin about this in 2017

Maybe he does implode, but sitting and waiting for a "gaffe" to destroy Biden is foolish. "Gaffes" are only harmful if they reveal something about a candidate that was previously concealed. See: Romney "47%" or Hillary "deplorables." Biden's persona already has "gaffes" baked in
The main thing that I could see genuinely undermining Biden is his cognitive capacities. He's 76 and it's common to falter at that age. He also underwent severe emotional stress recently due to the death of his son. But as recently as 2012 he performed very well in debates
I just watched Biden's first rally in Pittsburgh, and I think people are exaggerating the extent to which he was "slurring." He's not the most articulate obviously, but he's perfectly intelligible. Just like Trump, who also frequently struggles to formulate complete sentences

Bernie has near-universal name recognition. That obviously was not the case at this point in the 2016 cycle. If he's now trailing Biden by double-digits in every early primary state, it's a bad sign for him. Things could change, but people need to take Biden very seriously
Biden was reportedly waffling on whether to run as late as February. That was around the time I was declaring Bernie the front-runner. I still think Bernie has unique strengths and a decent chance to win. But he clearly is no longer the front-runner
For the millionth time, unless otherwise noted, I am talking about the Democratic presidential nomination. You know, the thing both Biden and Bernie are currently competing for. I don't get why Twitter mouth-breathers fail to understand this

Ridiculous and dangerous framing here by the NYT, who continue the bizarre media tradition of trying to slight Trump for being insufficiently hawkish, and daring him to take aggressive military action
That said, if Trump is reportedly so flustered with Bolton and Pompeo for their failed approach to various countries, why doesn't he fire them. That's on him. He could easily have filled his Administration with people who were more in line with his "instincts." He chose not to.
Bolton blew up the Hanoi summit in February with Kim. The Venezuela coup attempt was a complete failure. Increased tensions and provocations with Iran. Pompeo and Bolton are disasters. Trump is ultimately responsible for the horrible personnel he installs
