Even though the show has been foreshadowing Daenerys’ villainous turn since season one, the pacing and colliding character arcs are in danger of turning a dramatically interesting twist into one heck of a sexist letdown. /2
Imagine one way the show might end. Cersei and Dany unleash (further) horrors on King’s Landing, vying for the title of Mad Queen as much as the Iron Throne itself. For the sake of the realm, one or maybe even both are killed by their male lovers. /3

It has to do with the behind-the-scenes process of plotters vs. pantsers. If you’re not familiar with the distinction, plotters create a fairly detailed outline before they commit a single word to the page. /2
Pantsers discover the story as they write it, often treating the first draft like one big elaborate outline. Neither approach is ‘right’ - it’s just a way to characterize the writing process. But the two approaches do tend to have different advantages. /3

[1] If you’re concerned when trans and non-binary folks report feeling unsafe in your profession, your target is a particular interpretation of gender identity that excludes trans and non-binary folks. Your target is not women - no, not even the women who hold such views.
[2] If you suggest that tone-policing the anger of vulnerable folks shifts moral attention away from why they were angry in the first place, you are not thereby agreeing with everything they said in anger. You are pointing out a way conversations go wrong under oppression.
[3] Justifying abuse toward women “because they were asking for it,” or for any other reason that boils down to “they’re women,” is misogyny. Standing against misogyny is compatible with criticizing trans-exclusionary views. Oppression isn’t a contest. There can be more than one.

It's too late, of course, but I mentioned awhile back, Comey still has only one desperate play to make: trying to get the public on his side & tell his story & generate support/sympathy for his being 'persecuted' by DOJ attack dogs working for Trump.
Here's the problem: Comey is an idiot.

He can't keep his lies straight.

He's going to be giving interviews where he engages in hand waving bullshit while the IG & Barr release *documentary evidence* contained in an indictment that walks everyone through his crimes.

Right before the November 2018 midterm elections, I attended an event for @BetoORourke. Beto had become an integral part of my life story when I (a USMC veteran with diagnosed service-related PTSD) had attempted suicide just a few months prior. He was so very busy, always 1/8
had been since he’d begun his US Senate campaign over a year earlier. I didn’t think I’d get the chance to see him this one last time before Election Day. But his team, amazing & kind as ever, let me know I could. As I walked with them to the stage to see Beto, I was excited 2/8
to be able to see him and also to be around the amazing, extraordinary people he chose to be on his team. As we went through the final door, I could see Beto in the wings of the stage, he was smiling at the musical act on stage and enjoying looking out at the crowd. But, 3/8

Right after Donald Trump’s election, the SPLC really stoked panic. A pro-gay Episcopal church in Indiana was vandalized w/“Heil Trump,” a swastika, & an anti-gay slur. Turns out it was the gay organ player who did it. He was only charged w/a misdemeanor. indystar.com/story/news/201…
