/Land audit: There is a need to align actions: 1. The first land audit results (report); 2. The review of the national land policy (what is the progress @faosfsafrica?); 3. The land committee set up for one year to report on urban land issues in 2017 (what is the status);
/ Land Audit: 4. Land valuation for compensation (what is the status); 5. LIMS is almost over a decade long being developed (why does it not seem to work, and always revived?) Aligning all this information comprehensively should be a first step before another audit.
/ Land audit: In fact what matters is the definition of the objectives of the audit? what is intended to be achieved? Has the systems for audit been audited? Who is doing it and what are there interests? What actions are expected after the audit?
/ Land audit: I am afraid that if we do not ask ourselves the hard question, we remain dancing on one spot. We need commercial agricultural land to be back into production, as the primary objective. The ZLC and the land auditors need o provide a comprehensive audited package
/Land audit: the approach looks ad hoc, and and flares up here and there. I am not seeing any seriousness in addressing the matters that can easily be done. Clarification of the land vision matters. Let me give you a run down of the Audits
/Land audit: several since 2000 👉 a. Parliament of Zim A2 audit (2002); b. Bhuka A2 Audit; c. Utete Committee 2003; d. SIRDIC and Land (2006, 2007, 2009) for A2; e. Lands and UNDP sample audit (2012); f. Lands, ZLC, and EU valuation of farms; g. Urban land committee review
/Land audit: Why don't we start with review and comprehensive analysis of these, as we wait for the review of the land policy so that results can be aligned with policy? it seems to me that we have a scatter approach, and each action not speaking to the other.
/Land audit: at this pace, we remain entangled in the same matters, that are militating against agriculture recovery in the commercial farms. A good land governance and administration is essential to move the land matter forward. We have been over stuck in the land 2 decades
/Land audit: it pains to see swashes of large pieces of land not used. Despite the many reasons for not producing, and unfounded fears of land reversal, farmers have a responsibility. Each time production on land is raised, they cry reversal. It is like holding gvt to ransom
/Land audit: we need to have a shared understanding and move together on the land matter. @gparadza @ndakaripa @UduguNation @ProfMandiRukuni @beat_africa @hesphina @KudzieChimzy @RuzivoTrust @Tauya01 @toveratm
