1. Traceability: very pertinent and this continuous idea of “kusaidzira mombe” is archaic! New forms of livestock raising with improved nutritious feeds and water is long over due.
2. Traceability: a good farmer must know what the cattle eat everyday, not this system where they forage in garbage bins at the growth point or along main roads;
3. Traceability: means better management of disease outbreaks that prevented spreading and allows for faster actions to control. Yet, this also means livestock farm landscapes that can be registered and collaterised.
4. Traceability: from the farm to the plate, must also be from the bank 🏦 to the farm and along the health cold supply system. This can grow the livestock farming business in its entirety.
5. Traceability: the costs of doing so should be far lesser given the techs and applications be developed faster. We could have a “uberized” vet dr, company and a mobile abattoir all benefiting the livestock farmer
6. Traceability: Livestock is a big deal in rural revitalization, and can help address extreme poverty. It brings sustainable high incomes that can change people’s livelihoods. Remember always #dipyourcattle
7. Traceability: the idea of see only land as collateral is not enough. Other avenues of exploring collateral and modern financing must be sought. Someone out there has the answer. For livestock farmers in Zim they have the answers. Let’s help them
