Singapore didn’t set out to achieve river beautification. They set out to achieve river purification. Huge difference. And they set phased targets to achieve it. They didn’t expect overnight magic.

Our idiots didn’t address the source of pollution much. They spent more money on beautification which is having disastrous results..
Every project PEMANDU had touched has turned into a piece of shit. Big Fast Results is never sustainable.

1/ The concept of a Holding Company in CPG to be the @ProcterGamble for the 21st Century is the worst kept secret idea over the past 24 months.

Kind of a lot of people are trying to build this.
2/ I personally get pitched on it 5x-10x a month. And those are only the emails/calls I respond to. Here is why people are excited about it and the challenges they are discovering to date.

TLDR: I’m bullish on the concept but lots of kinks to be worked out.
3/ The basic idea being kicked around is to acquire (or start) many different consumer brands under one Holding Company. Likely then have some shared “back office” (**murky alert**). Shared marketing/finance/sales as an example.

The vertical takeoff & landing-capable F-35B, in particular, could be especially valuable for the Singapore given its ability to operate independently of runways or potentially from the flight deck of larger amphibious ships the country also plans to acquire in the future.
It's hard not to see the South China Sea & China more broadly, behind Singapore’s interest in the F-35. Singapore is heavily reliant on the maritime trade that crisscrosses through that body of water. Other areas, such as the Malacca Strait, could become choke points in a crisis.

80,000 adults in immigration detention tonight
12000 minors as well ( the real number is bigger without counting the thousands this government “lost”)

Detained undocumented immigrants are not the problem, they are a product, counted as beds per night not as humans.
These beds mean $300 to $700 of YOUR TAX DOLLARS PER NIGHT to a majority publicly traded private prisons.

It is in their interest to keep them filled. They even managed to get the government to commit to a minimum beds payment per night filled or not. Yes, fact check my shit
Not to mention additional costs every time a detained immigrant is moved from location to location, the ridiculous amounts these private prisons charge for phone calls per minute for these inmates to reach family or even their lawyers if they can afford one.
