2/ Catholics to Nazi's. @josh_hammer provided a quick blurb over at the Daily Wire. dailywire.com/news/47562/wat… While I applaud @SenHawleyPress & Hammer for there concern for anti-Catholic bias & desire to protect religious liberty, they are wrong about Bogren and setting dangerous
3/ precedent. Bogren represented City of East Lansing in the lawsuit a family who runs an apple orchard filed against the city for violating their rights to religious liberty. The City is 100% in the wrong, as I explain here: nationalreview.com/2017/09/apple-… BUT Bogren is AN ATTORNEY
4/ with an expertise in constitutional law, partner at a large firm, zealously representing his clients. AND he is not anti-Catholic. I know this because Bogren is my cousin! He is Catholic and would be a SOLID judge. And I don't pull punches, for family or otherwise. AND
5/5 Conservatives using Bogren's clients and zealous representation of their legal interests to scuttle a nomination aren't thinking this through. Anyone connected to ADF will be blacklisted by the left under this theory. They tried that with Amy Comey Barrett. END.
