This is why every writer needs any/more fact-checking
I have no idea what happened in the Wolf case—and this can be the hardest thing for a FCer to catch, a baseline early misread of data—but be aware that in more cases book publishers do not provide fact-checking, that is up to writer to manage and pay for themselves. It’s insane.
Here's another case, Jared Diamond's new book, where the fact-checking was patchy at best nytimes.com/2019/05/17/boo…
