Even if you feel like it’s unfair, just take the L and go. Nobody has EVER argued their way out of being creepy.
Incidentally, since I've seen a few "well they wouldn't have rejected him if he was Leonardo DiCaprio" or something come out of the woodwork.

A) wanna bet?

B) Cool story bro but he wasn't Leo. Shit don't transfer like that.
The fact that someone might be open to being hit on by a famous, good looking celebrity who's older than them doesn't ALSO mean that they're open to being hit on by somebody who ISN'T that famous, good looking celebrity who's of a similar age.
To put it another way: the fact that you'd be down for Christina Hendricks doesn't mean that you'd be equally down for a complete stranger, esp. when you don't find that person attractive AT ALL.
Attraction isn't fungible and consent doesn't have transitive properties. The fact that you may consent to flirt with one person doesn't mean that you've given consent to flirt with anyone who's statistically like the first dude.

It just means you like THAT guy. Specifically.
This is why the "It's not creepy if Brad Pitt does it" doesn't track. It's not about whether it's Brad Pitt, it's about whether the interest is *wanted*.

(Because hoo boy do I have stories of hot celebrities striking out HARD, let me tell you.)
And the OP HIMSELF points out how many times the girls told him to go the hell away and he didn't.

So, doesn't matter that he was "polite" (he wasn't) or "considerate" (nope). It's got to do with sticking around where you're not wanted.
TL;DR: if they're not into you, move the fuck on chief.
