Working up a script for a film about a 2000 pound dumpling that obliterates Shanghai. It’s called “One Ton of Wanton Won Ton Destruction.”
I’m sure I’m gonna lose a lot of followers for that. But you know what they say. Easy come, easy gyoza.
Mandoo you guys ever like dumpling humor.
This idea is such a hit that we might be able to hold the premier at the Ravioli Theater.
Sadly, I've just learned that this film has already been made and it was called "The Full Manti."
I would just go ahead and make it, but I worry that the producers of The Full Manti would Siumai ass.

This episode is like some Tennessee Williams play where everyone in the family agrees not to mention Cousin Cyrus around the aging patriarch for fear that it'll send him into a violent storming rage.
What I love is that the darling of the conservative "facts don't care about your feelings" crowd is such a wilting violet that his own military has to cover the name of a ship just to prevent him from succumbing to the vapors.
The whole "we love Western Civilization because of reason and science" crowd is deeply in love with the ultimate snowflake who thinks every climate scientist in the world is just a partisan hack (or a Chinese plant) out to get him.

Imagine you serve on a corporate board and you hire an investigator to look into claims that your CEO has committed crimes. The investigator says “if we could say the CEO was innocent we would. But we can’t say that.” What should that corporate board then do?
If you were an investor, would you invest in a company that responded to such an investigator’s report with a shrugging “meh?”
If you worked for that CEO, would you feel confident that you were not complicit with any actions that might make you criminally liable?

I'm about to drop a severely nerdy and overly technical thread on you all about automagically parsing heaps of old declassified CIA documents for coverterms using python, NLP libraries, regex, and maybe a little love. Either strap in or block me. W/E
So I start with my problem statement; I have an asinine amount of declassified documents scraped off of CIA's digital reading room. I know I want to practice NLP and regex going into this, but I also know this is a multi-step process that is probably going to be pretty complex.
So I start with an archive of 250001 PDF files which amounts to somewhere around 90 GB. The first, longest step of this process was to run Optical Character Recognition against the documents and add a searchable text layer to the original PDFs. Not so bad.

Listening to the 911 call made by the 17-year-old Turpin girl. She sounds somewhere b/n 10-11. She misspelled her last name, she doesn’t know her address offhand. Then she lists a bunch of numbers without the street name.
She tells the 911 operator that she’s never been out after the operator asks if she’s near home. For the address she gives the zip code.
She tells operator she left b/c her parents are abusive, says two sisters are chained up (at the time of call). She says one brother tied up, specifically says they are chained to their beds.
