In 30 years, people will look back at 2019 and the only thing that will matter to them is, "what did you do to try to avoid the climate catastrophe that we are currently living in?"
President Trump, who has the support of all those conservatives who love Western Civilization because it brought us "science" and "reason," has decided that the world's scientists are wrong about climate change and that the US gov't will stop making projections about it.
Meanwhile, the gov't will drastically scale back its efforts to collect data about climate change. Even if we take only a narrowly-constricted economic view of it, dealing with the effects of climate change is going to eat up an ever larger share of US GDP in the future.
But in the interest of making profits now and leaving it for future generations to deal with the costs, the Trump Administration has basically decreed that scientific truths about the climate are to be silenced. Man, this left-wing political correctness is really getting to me.
As famous conservative Ben Shapiro likes to say, "facts don't care about your feelings." Climate change is a fact, and it could give a fig about President Trump's feelings (or the economic interests of his pals in the fossil fuel industry).
Trump will long be in the grave when the bill comes due for his stupid pro-carbon policies...but our children and grandchildren will be paying for it in myriad and terrible ways.
This reminds me that I saw this at the gym the other day--a Pat Robertson/CBN show all about the devastating tornadoes across the country. "Terrible, terrible" says Pat...but it's got nothing to do with climate change. Just, you know, normal weather stuff.

These grifters would be kinda funny, if they weren't going to get us all killed by building an electorate that votes eagerly to hasten the end times in the form of a climate-caused extinction event.
