The disconnect between our personal lives & the power of God’s Word is in our tendency to take our lofty selves to the sacred pages. But real doesn’t apply to fake. God didn’t call us up to reveal Himself to us. He came down right into this mess. Forget lofty. Take what’s lowly.
Open those Scriptures & welcome the Holy Spirit to speak into your real stuff. Into your wrecked relationships. Into your aching body. Into your overeating or under-eating. Into your hate toward someone you live with. Into your bill-paying, kid-raising, test-taking, love-faking.
Bring what’s true to what’s true. That’s where the connection takes place. God is unimpressed with us flexing our muscles for Him. His mighty hand extends most powerfully to the weak.

“Though the Lord is high, He regards the lowly but the haughty He knows from afar.” Ps.138:6

Reading through the Gospel of Luke right now in my morning devotionals. Luke 15 this AM. I knew it was coming & still the tears streamed. I would give anything to rewrite my story. I am so scarred from poor decisions in my past. Some of their consequences have nearly killed me.->
I’ve had a heart for Jesus as long as I can remember. Even in childhood He mesmerized me. By 9, I was in Christ & He, in me. At 18, I surrendered to my calling. Every stupid thing I’ve ever done, I did saved & called. Took years for the cycle to break. Regret has been crushing.->
But this Jesus. Oh, but this Jesus. This Jesus that I was taught loved the little children turned out to love mind bogglingly foolish & depraved full-grown sinners, too. This Jesus never let me go. Never changed His mind about me. Never quit telling me He loved me. Never gave up.

One of the best things about the way the Holy Spirit still animates Scripture is how an ancient story you’ve heard since toddlerhood can pierce you again. This AM, Luke 10, the Good Samaritan. The players in the scene are left unnamed because their names change with every reader.
The players in the scene are also interchangeable. We’ll all get a chance to be each. Sometimes we’re the one robbed, beaten to a bloody pulp & left half dead, unable to help ourselves & wholly dependent on someone’s mercy. We hear foot-falls nearby. They pause then patter away.
Sometimes we’re the priest. Sometimes the Levite. Too important, too religious, in too big a hurry to stop. We, after all, are called to the many, not the one. Then again, this would make a great selfie. Tons of likes on Instagram. A good filter could really bring out the blood.

I want to stoke the fire I’m in the middle of right now about as much as I want to amputate my toes without anesthesia. I’d much prefer to change the subject & move on & ignore the fury. I also want my family to have relief. But after intense prayer, I need to say a few things.->
The first one is that I have a very active daily practice of repentance. I never have nothing to repent of. You need not worry if I am aware of my own sins, flaws & weaknesses. I am. You can know I am hashing out things on my face on the floor before God every day. That said, ->
I am compelled to my bones by the Holy Spirit - I don’t want to be but I am -to draw attention to the sexism & misogyny that is rampant in segments of the SBC, cloaked by piety & bearing the stench of hypocrisy. There are countless godly conservative complementarians. So many. ->

Lovers seduce each other. This is not so very different from battle. There is a battle lust in each of our souls. We can be stirred to it. For all of our claims against violence, our denials and assertions of non-violent morality, we remain violent creatures, we humans do.
What a phrase, "provides a visible form." The skilled warrior implants a visual image in his enemy general's mind. That image is, for the enemy, a false but crystal-clear image of victory. The winning general makes the losing general see a fictional victory. He thus stirs him.

Before I even left Edinburgh I was already soaked, although it had been snowing the night before so I was relieved to be able to ride at all.

After a couple of photos at @ScotParl I headed south towards Hawick.

The weather *did not* improve.
About now I was sitting cuddling a cup of tea in @HeartofHawick with my gear hung over the radiators. I hoped the rain might ease off if I waited a bit. I was wrong.

Let’s start with structure...The 2nd leg down out a major high is usually more impulsive (trendy) than the 1st leg. The minimum structure for price travel is a zig-zag or 3 waves. The 3rd wave is almost always stronger than the 1st of a zig zag. $SPX

This chart has significant timing implications as expectation is to have similar proportions in time BUT STRONGER TRAVEL in price - using this basis its possible to estimate a drop into the 12th which is a Geometrics timing +/- 1.5 days for us for a long time as u know.

A bounce would be likely from the 12th +/- 1.5 days into christmas (the infamous Santa rally people fail to properly understand) and then a drop to 2100s to 2300s into January 2 or so

Some random thoughts for a Sunday afternoon. This is kind of a stream of consciousness thing, but I’ve got a lot of varied thoughts on my mind today.
Is it white privilege that motivates South Africans to expropriate the land of white South Africans? And kill them where they stand for being white? Is there white privilege in say, Indonesia? If not, then how can you say white privilege even exists?
Wouldn’t it more likely be power privilege? It isn’t white privilege that rules in Venezuela, is it? Or Cuba? Or Chile? Argentina? Anywhere that whites don’t control the government? And what is racism?

All different races of Mankind are derived from Manu and Shradha. The current Manu is Vaivasvata Manu.
2/ The word Manu literary means man but it is a title given to the progenitor of mankind. According to Hindu Puranas there are many kalpas (One day of Lord Brahma the creator) and each Kalpa has 14 manvantara and each manvatara has one manu. So basically each Kalpa has 14 Manus.
3/ The current manu of the present manvantara is Shraddhadeva or Vaivasvata Manu of this current Kalpa. He is the son of Vivasvat (Probably Surya) and is therefore also known as Manu-vaivasvata.
