1. You know those fake Pelosi videos rocketing around social media?

I took a close look at how they spread, and it's even worse than you thought.

After 2016, social media companies promised to do better in 2020. They are not doing better.

2. A big problem in 2016, was foreign actors using misinformation to influence U.S. politics.

One of the biggest distributors of the doctored Pelosi video (500K views) was a fake Ivanka account whose administrators are based in Pakistan and Portugal.

1. Buried in the legal filings of the 2020 Census case is PROOF that the Department of Justice is lying about how this scheme was hatched.

This gets in the weeds a bit but stick with me.

It's worth it.
2. To understand what is happening, you have to understand the information flow.

Tom Hofeller, who was on the RNC payroll, is the one who hatched the scheme to rig the 2020 census.

He was communicating with Mark Neuman, an informal adviser to the Commerce Department.
3. Neuman was communicating w/Jason Gore, the DOJ official who crafted the official justification for rigging the census.

Gore testified in the case that HE DRAFTED the letter laying out the justification himself.

The DOJ claims this is COMPLETELY UNCONNECTED TO Neuman/Hofeller

The operative responsible for the scheme said the question could be used to empower "REPUBLICANS AND NON-HISPANIC WHITES"

The only reason we know about his involvement is that he died last summer and his daughter turned over his computer files to an attorney.

I mean Pelosi just gave an interview in the New York Times to say she's afraid that Trump may not give up power voluntarily ... and she did it in the context of pitching her preferred messaging for Dem candidates in the 2020 campaign.
I honestly find this flabbergasting. On the one hand, Pelosi's position, as characterized by the NYT, is utterly bizarre.

Ok, so my updated thoughts on the mortgage moves currently hitting JA. I've spoken before about the coming of this and we saw 1 player go to 100% mortgage's a few weeks ago, and then JN made waves with the 110% mortgage offer. Here's my thoughts on why this was inevitable...
Over the past 10 or so years, the Finance sector has gotten more structured and inevitably more competitive. Credit Unions have stepped up their offers, which put the heat on commercial and merchant banks. Within their own space the fight has also been rabid, led by 1 giant, NCB.
The fight I refer to there is the general fight between institutions, and as we know, competition between companies, means better products/services for the consumers. (See: Digicel/CWJ and JA having 2.8M people, but over 3M phone service subscribers and huge internet penetration)

** "Insanity" used colloquially, not diagnostically, and with apologizes to people with actual mental illnesses, who, in my personal experience, are (except in some cases when actively pathological) some of the clearest-headed thinking people I know (<- really truly).
(Last point on this^: Donald Campbell, the great mid-20th century social psychologist, and one of the few people to keep accuracy alive in the study of intergroup relations, was bipolar. As is the amazing Kay Jamison).

1. Now that the 4chan-to-FOX fueled right-wing frenzy over the #ExposeChristianSchools hashtag has faded, it should be easier to have a needed public discussion about the deleterious impact of certain types of parochial schools on American society and politics.
2. I am a product of K-12 Christian schools--that is, evangelical schools, which usually call themselves "Christian schools" or "Christian academies." Hence, when I coined the hashtag #ExposeChristianSchools, I did not anticipate Catholic schools being a part of the discussion.
3. That point was lost when the hashtag became conflated with the Covington story. It's perfectly fine to expand the #ExposeChristianSchools discussion into one that includes not only fundamentalist/evangelical schools, but also Catholic and mainline schools, of course.

It's a continuing and frustrating dilemma for those of us actively resisting the continuing farce that is @realDonaldTrump and all those who assisted in his successful coup d'etat of our nation on 8 November 2016.

At first the notion that Russia would be able or interested in interfering with the 2016 US Presidential election was declared absurd by almost everyone.

And they ignored it until a small army of insistent voices throughout the country and the world forced them.

2/
Then it was there is no proof that Donald Trump's campaign had any connection to Russia at all, which all those involved deemed over and over, sometimes under oath.

Then well Wikileaks wouldn't assist Russia, that's utter nonsense. Conspiracy nuts!
