The goalposts are constantly pushed further afield.

It's a continuing and frustrating dilemma for those of us actively resisting the continuing farce that is @realDonaldTrump and all those who assisted in his successful coup d'etat of our nation on 8 November 2016.

At first the notion that Russia would be able or interested in interfering with the 2016 US Presidential election was declared absurd by almost everyone.

And they ignored it until a small army of insistent voices throughout the country and the world forced them.

Then it was there is no proof that Donald Trump's campaign had any connection to Russia at all, which all those involved deemed over and over, sometimes under oath.

Then well Wikileaks wouldn't assist Russia, that's utter nonsense. Conspiracy nuts!

Or the Republican Party would never develop & execute a plan to actively seek, on a state by state basis, the purposeful denial of citizens' Constitutional right to vote.

A plan that targeted minority & poor communities in particular, especially the black community.

Foolish!

Or voting machines can't be hacked.

Or Putin didn't know.

Or Trump didn't know.

Or Hillary was the colluder.

Time & again each piece has been slowly revealed and found to be either true, or worse than first thought, or an compete lie meant to distract from the hard truth.

Yet, after all of it.

ALL of it.

There are still so many who complain that the Russian story is being overblown. That this or that don't necessarily equal the other.

They are running themselves in circles denying frame by frame the obvious truth.

Russia assisted Donald Trump in helping to ensure his victory in the 2016 election.

The effort was carefully planned by both sides and executed flawlessly with more than a few other person's and organizational entities.

Media is still effectively giving Trump the benefit of the doubt everyday.

Yet, after months of the resistance and too few investigators and reporters being forced to prove every detail of every part to the letter in order for the whole to taken seriously it's still doubled.

Trump is a goddamned liar.
He is a self admitted assaulter of women. He has open distain for the poor. He has boasted, in both speech & letter, of lying to get his way, and doing anything necessary to achieve his goals.

At this point the burden of proof should shift to him.

We have proven enough that his supporters should be hanging their heads in shame.

Yet they a recklessly deny all of the facts, no matter how much proof exists. Wave it away as so much fake news.

It's exhausting. And quite frankly I'm fed up with the bullshit.

If people want to support this bastard let them do it, but at least make them admit that they know perfectly well what happened here and are absolutely fine with it.

This charade has become more than ridiculous.

And it makes those of us who are sane look ridiculous too.

Everyday something new drips out. Some truth is finally verified, truths that many of us have been talking about for years.

Everyday our nation falls further into peril and inches closer to possible oblivion.

And everyday we are letting the bad guys win.

Everyday.

When people tweet to Robert Mueller pleading for him to make haste, we are often admonished that it took three years to bring Nixon down, but I find the comparison weak and unhelpful.

Nixon was a bad President. Nixon broke laws.

But not even Nixon compares to Trump.

Nixon never attempted to systematically dismantle the administrative apparatus of our nation. Nor did he recklessly roll back decades of social progress w/ a grin & a pen.

Also the types of information, access to evidence & sources forty years ago was incomparable to today.

There wasn't email trails, cell phone logs, tracking technology, data rescue and retrieval processes.

It should take three years.

Not while our country burns to the ground as we watch.

This makes no sense.
