I cancelled my @WSJ subscription last month. I get charged for it. I think to myself, OK, they're charging me for the month I already had access. I get charged again today, call them, cancel my @WSJ subscription and ask for a refund since I already cancelled a month before.
I'm told they "can't do that."
So, they overcharged me and basically said, "Too bad, so sad."
So, I will no longer be sharing any WSJ articles and will not count myself among their readership.
Refusing to refund someone for a $40 subscription because of your own error is BS.
To put a cap on this - called the bank, they have to open an "investigation" into my claim and it could take up to two weeks to receive a refund, that's *if* the bank agrees with me.
Never. EVER. reading WSJ again. Yes, I am that petty.
Also people, your tweets in reply to this thread were more helpful than WSJ today, so thanks! 😉
When someone shows me great service, I always review or recommend them. I think its good for people to know but mostly I do it because I want people at their jobs to be recognized for their hard work. My feedback could be the thing that pushes a boss closer to giving a raise etc.
That said - the lovely ppl @HyattCentricKW have been amazing & even offered to make my upcoming trip extra special, without any prodding from me. So, yeah, thank *YOU* Hyatt for your consistently lovely staff & customer service. Would recommend you off that alone at this point.
