Incidentally, it's interesting that Sky chose not to excerpt her outrageous comments about gay conversion therapy in either of the two summary clips it put out of her appearance on "Ridge on Sunday" this morning. Perhaps they were afraid of the backlash?

By far the most depressing part of the Ann Widdecombe scandal is when you scroll through the Twitter comments and realise how many people thought she gave a good account of herself in the interview. Just the thought of sharing an island with them makes me want to take a shower.

Sam Gyimah just announced he will be joining the Tory leadership race, taking them to a baker's dozen. He wants an explicit final say on the Brexit deal, ie a second referendum. But as the interviewer points out, that sadly means he will never get chosen. #ridge
He states that his referendum would have 3 options on the ballot paper:
- Remain
- Theresa May's deal
- No deal
He then goes on to say that he would personally vote Remain out of those 3 options, but would not actively campaign for that option.

GIDS review out. Reading between the lines I’d say there is a lot of conflict & concern within GIDs and certainly a lot of conflict & concern externally. More to come on conflicts of interest? Lobbying?
Lots on recording consent. (Getting ready for the law suits from sterilised adults?). Sexuality related issues would be young lesbians & gay males prematurely medicalised.
Yes it is complex. We know most kids (& likely adults) have co-morbidities. Problem is once Gender Dysphoria gets mentioned do these get de-prioritised as patients primary focus is GD. Role of private clinics & self-medicating is an issue.

1. Never Let Me Go; Kazuo Ishiguro: A supremely crafted narrative begins unassumingly, but quickly reveals a different notion of childhood innocence and coming of age. The conversational tone fooled me into thinking I was walking into a world I understood. Nobel worthy.
2. We Should All Be Feminists; Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie: As an author who breathes eloquence, Adichie doesn't disappoint. This short book/long essay is insightful and logical and human. If we want to raise boys without the toxic masculinity, this is on the required reading list.

#Fact 1 - The Wage Gap is real. People who says it's not haven't read the data.

However, in places like the USA, the wage gap is *not* mostly due to sexism like many #femnist #WomenInScience are claiming it is today. Disparate outcomes doesn't imply disparate treatment.
Women typically choose fields that are lower paying; even in the #STEM fields. To attribute that to sexism only or even mostly is a very dishonest way of deriving an answer for this complex disparity.

Also ridiculous: banning "transgender," "fetus," "diversity," etc. Anyone will tell you that banning something doesn't negate its existence.

In fact, I am now committed to using all of these words more.
Here we go: Vulnerable populations with high degrees of diversity such as transgender persons will suffer due to the Trump administration's retrograde views on diversity, entitlement, & science-based, evidence-based policies in favor of fetus rights.
