2/ Language of Kikuyu supremacist ideology:
Biki biki itigakīra Chain (power will never leave Kiambu)
Gūcokia rūūi mūkaro (to return power where it belongs)
Ūthamaki nī witū (power belongs to us)
Tūtingīathwo ni ihīī (we cannot be ruled by uncircumcised men i.e. our inferiors)

3/ Supremacist ideology is not same as tribalism. #mtuwetu does not invoke superiority complex. Not all Kikuyus are supremacists, just as not all white people are white supremacists—in fact most are against it. You have no reason to be defensive if you are not a supremacist.

4/ Calling out racism is no cause for a chorus that not all white people are racist. Similarly calling out Kikuyu supremacist is no cause for a chorus that not all Kikuyus are supremacist. We know it exists. What it calls you to do is to ask yourself this: what is my stand?

5/ So if you find yourself uneasy when Kikuyu supremacist ideology is mentioned, Chinua Achebe reminds us that “An old woman is always uneasy when dry bones are mentioned in a proverb.” Think about it.
