Elizabeth Lederer, the prosecutor in the Central Park jogger case, will no longer teach at @ColumbiaLaw. “Given the nature of the recent publicity generated by the Netflix portrayal of the Central Park case, it is best not to renew my teaching application,” she wrote to the Dean.
The law school dean, in an email to students and alumni, recognized the Black Law Students Association for its “recent input.” The @Columbia Black Students’ Organization collected nearly 10,000 signatures on a petition demanding Lederer step down, per @bloomberglaw.
