Hard to overstate the stakes in the census case and the battle over John Roberts’ commitment to the rule of law
I have a sneaking feeling that Roberts and conservative Court majority sides with the government on the census case but Robert(& Kav?) sides w liberals to strike partisan gerrymandering in tiny fraction of cases as egregious as North Carolina to try to preserve #SCOTUS legitimacy

The real issue is that we have a desperate problem with the potential for foreign interference in 2020. I'd like to see bipartisan action on the House Judiciary Committee (and in the Senate!) to deal with a problem that both sides acknowledged at yesterday's hearing is serious.
I'm afraid yesterday's hearing, considering the issue of foreign interference in the context of the Mueller report, shed more heat than light. Behind closed doors, both sides need to be working against 2020 foreign interference. Last time it helped Trump but next time who knows?

My favorite moment in today's hearing was when I was able to respond to Rep. Buck who wrongly suggested I said that taking all opposition research from foreign sources was illegal, pointing to Steele dossier. I highlighted this part of my remarks, quoting from Repub House report.
As I explain in my testimony American leaders from Washington and Hamilton to Justice Stevens and Justice Kavanaugh have recognized the need to keep out foreign influences over American elections.

a) Dialogue & Negotiation are two different things though one may intersect with the other on a Venn diagram.
b) There is NO dispute between ED & Chamisa, even though Chamisa y/day said he has a dispute.
