Actually @PolitiFact I was managing editor at the time that I wrote this, not a reporter; I handled all aspects of editorial (assigning, editing for style, line editing, and an extra layer of fact-checking) as well as writing stories. 🙂

I edited 12 to 15 stories a day on average, routinely worked until midnight and woke up at 6am to do it all over again. I lost a ton of weight, nearly torpedoed my interpersonal relationships, had nightmares almost every night, and got devastating migraines weekly from the stress

So I would prefer to have my actual title and work represented accurately, @PolitiFact, thanks much!

Also, every single one of the reporters there had formal training. I - a veteran of the news industry with 25 years' experience in all aspects and formats of journalism from network to magazine writing, who taught journalism during grad school - trained them myself.

(Not that anyone really needed it, they were, and remain stellar.)
