Annie Donaldson, former chief of staff to ex WH counsel Don McGahn and a key fact witnesses for Mueller's investigation, struck a deal with House Judiciary to submit answers in writing rather than appear for in-person questioning on Monday.

The White House has been involved [interfering] in negotiations between House Judiciary and Annie Donaldson – a private citizen – and plans to block her from answering questions re her WH tenure by asserting “absolute immunity,” which is not a real thing.

In the letter, he said that the documents McGahn has belong to the White House, not McGahn.
