Just so we’re clear on what just happened:

Mitch McConnell STOLE a Supreme Court seat, ignoring the constitution to deny the SC appointment of a democratically elected black president.

He then installed a white man who just voted to PERMANENTLY disenfranchise the black vote.
Dear Republicans,

Just fuck off forever with your talk of “respect for the rule of law,” “the sanctity of the constitution” or the “defense of freedom and democracy.”

You don’t know what ANY of these things mean.
If a democratically-elected president is denied his legal right to appoint a SC Justice is replaced by a president who won with a minority of votes using the help of a foreign power who appoints a Justice who disenfranchises 11% of voters, can you even call it democracy anymore?

Mueller (shorter): Trump obstructed justice but the law won't let us charge him with a federal crime because he is president so if you want to deal with this prick, impeach him.
Mueller: The Constitution requires a process outside the criminal justice system to accuse a sitting president of wrongdoing.

The "process" he's referring to is called IMPEACHMENT.
This is the crucial moment:

"If we had confidence that the president did NOT commit a crime, we would have said so."

McConnell just forced a historic vote. He wants to pack the courts to turn our Constitution on its head & lock in government by and for the powerful & privileged, destroying government by and for the people. Very dark day for our Constitution and for the people of America.
McConnell has consistently broken the Senate to pack the courts. In 2013 he put up a blockade, refusing to confirm any judge the President nominated to the DC Circuit. Then of course, the stolen SCOTUS seat. Then nuclear option for Gorsuch confirmation. Now nuclear option again.
McConnell has shredded the Senate in his obsession to push ideologues into lifetime appointments. When history asks “who broke America?” the answer will be clear.

The US Supreme Court doing whatever it can get away with to protect GOP gerrymandering is why state supreme courts are so critical. PA's Dem-majority Supreme Court struck down GOP gerrymandering in 2018, & NC's Dem court could do so too by 2020. Here's how dailykos.com/story/2018/11/…
This is sadly a prerequisite for getting the Roberts Court to actually put limits on congressional gerrymandering—If they only see it as something Republicans do, then they'll never do anything to stop it. This is why we must pass House Dems' #HR1 to ban gerrymandering nationally

What pisses me off the worst is that it is so much built into our current system of economy, politics, and technology.
I can't express how depressing I have found the whole program. Discussion. Interaction. Whatever it was.
I believe the women. Every word.
But if putting all our energy into the sex scandal worked, he whose name would soil my thumbs would not be President.
I like righteous as well as the next guy but I'd like a few righteous wins.
He had worse weaknesses, by law and tradition.

McConnell steals a Supreme Court seat in a way we haven’t seen since the 1800s & now the court is voting like post-1870s, making decisions based on partisan ideology rather than upholding judicial independence.
We are seeing attacks from the court on workers rights, voting rights, and equal protection under the law. This is a serious moment that calls for a Moral Revival.
We must engage in mass voter registration and mobilization, and nonviolent civil disobedience in order to build a political system that upholds justice for all. Fusion organizing among the poor and working poor is a must otherwise we will keep loosing.

Today a leading GOP Congressman said we're headed for a Second Civil War and then retweeted a Nazi sympathizer and said he wasn't sorry for doing it.

Let me repeat: a leading GOP Congressman. Time was when the media would already be hounding the president to denounce Steve King.
2/ And why isn't U.S. media making a stink about this? Because they and most of America already accept that the President of the United States not only won't denounce Nazi sympathizers or implicit threats of future violence but actually warmly embraces both of these. God help us.
3/ I've now said it many times: everything short of occupying Washington lawfully and peacefully until new elections untouched by Russian interference—and repeated attempts by Trump and his minions to coordinate with a hostile foreign power—is basically cathartic window-dressing.

Liberals whining about travel ban decision, and that Mitch McConnell "stole" a Supreme court seat from Merrick Garland. Of course they forget that they are the ones who created the "Biden" rule. It came back to bite them. A president can't name a justice during an election year
And they also know that Trump is going to be able to name another 1 or 2 within the next year as well
The Biden rule actually stole a seat for the Democrats. Ruth Bader Ginsburg seat. Neil Gorsuch was a beneficiary of their rule
