Y’all are making fun of him but he is right. We have made busing a political and racial term but millions of American children rode buses before Brown v Board and ride buses today. Busing is an American institution that only became problematic when used for integration.
Pointing out that he apparently doesn’t know the racial dog whistle while not pointing out that it’s a dog whistle is not good journalism.

The media helped inflame anti-“busing” sentiment then, serving as PR folks for anti-integrationists who used the race-neutral language to making desegregation politically toxic. And the media continues to fail to write about busing correctly today.
