He doesn’t challenge these views—but rather embraces them and elevates them. He is mad because we see his bigotry—this is a made up person—but framed as ‘an ordinary American voter’ as if Ordinary Americans don’t speak Spanish. 2)

Then he claims he’s being bullied—as a person with a platform and a column in the NYT. Please. (hello digital reach of @nytimes is roughly 3 million, I think). And as if we cannot get to know him through his OPINION COLUMN. (Read the one on colonization, that’s a doozy.) 3)

It’s also inaccurate in many ways (hello everyone pays taxes—because sales tax).

Listen if he wants to be the voice of the aggrieved, go for it.

I’m exhausted.

Good to know that I’m making him vote for Trump when I call out (along with ten zillion others) his bigotry. 4)

Finally,
There are a million other things that I could say about his column but most important is that it’s terrible. Others have written far better threads on it than I, and since I am on vacation I’ll leave it at that. 5)
