Your communication skills suffer when there's hesitancy.

Fix?

Either speak with full intent or keep quiet.

Avoid middle ground territory.
In the communication world, we have the 'Intent Light Switch.'

Understand this a
& you'll improve with words.

👇👇
A light switch can be ON or OFF, correct?

'Correct.'

But it can't be ON and OFF, correct?

'Correct.'
Same with communication!

Your words are the electricity.

Your intent is the switch.

ON or OFF.
But humans make an error.

They play middle ground territory.

They want to speak (ON) but they want to do in a soft voice incase they get rejected or say something stupid (OFF).
Results?

An unconfident voice filled with self doubt.

Results?

You will repulse your conversation partner.
Emotional states are contagious.

And your voice communicates your emotion.

Therefore, the emotional state that you feel (hesistancy) will be the state the other feels.
'I do this! I speak with hesitancy. What do I do??'

You fix your Intent Light Switch.

Trace back to a lot of your communication mishaps & you'll see you were speaking without purpose
In order to have an ON switch here's what you do:

You enter EVERY convo with the intent to provide value.

This will have you feeling more confident.
Do you think a person is hesitant if they are going to hand you 100$?

'No.'

Why?

'Because they are providing value.'

Exactly!
You hesitate because you think you're taking something from the person.

Nah.

The 100 dollars is your GOOD energy.

Make it your intent to give good energy (make em laugh, compliment, educate etc.)
If you enter every convo to give rather than take, then your hesitancy will melt.

Confidence will RISE 🚀🚀

Boom.

Intent light switch ON.
