A year ago Gordon Nardell QC became Labour’s first in-house "counsel on disciplinary matters" as part of General Secretary Jennie Formby’s pledge to clear the backlog of outstanding antisemitism cases.

Now there's a rumour that he's close to quitting - Labour says: "No comment"
Nardell isn't denying it: by email he says

they say he was meeting members of Congress on Capitol Hill while debate was taking place but that he was "shown the relevant clip of the programme on the way back to the residence in his car".

Mr Willsman should have no input whatsoever into decisions about antisemitism in the Party. Furthermore, he should be expelled for his appalling tirade accusing the Jewish community and its rabbinic leadership of conspiring to falsify or exaggerate antisemitism allegations.
Instead of investigating Mr Willsman, he has been exonerated by Labour’s General Secretary, Jennie Formby, who was reportedly satisfied with an apology. He is now standing for reelection to the NEC along with other candidates, including some who have defended Ken Livingstone.
