I found an interesting article about an Austrian politician who just resigned recently.

Someone set him up in a sting operation & video recorded him & another colleague from the Far Right Freedom Party meeting with a woman who they thought was the niece of a Russian Oligarch.

The woman made some interesting offers and the politician countered with a similar corrupt proposition.

I found it interesting because of some parallels to Canadian politics.

Harper partially privatized the public broadcaster CBC, and we can see mountains of evidence of conservative propaganda emulating from what once was a reliable source of news.

Also, the Austrian politician describes a method of getting around scrutiny of political donations by funneling it through a foundation linked to the party. Soliciting Russian donations to a political party sounds an awful lot like NRA’s function with US Republicans.

I wonder if there are any Canadian foundations that are receiving foreign political donations from Russian or other foreign entities in a similar manner to escape public scrutiny? It could be possible. Perhaps that’s the the projection Kenney’s Inquisition is hoping to obscure.

That’s just hypothesis though. Too bad foundations don’t need to reveal the source of their donations in Canada. It would be easily refuted if they did. But as it stands, we can not verify one way or the other.

But I also found this. Harper and Sebastian Kurz are friends. As well, Jason Kenney is a close friend is close friends with Kurz.

Conservatives seem to like nationalists and neo Nazis. Weird huh?

Funnily enough, Kurz is leader of the People’s Party, a member of IDU.

The Conservative People’s Party of Austria formed a coalition to form government in Austria with the Freedom Party, (they have PR electoral system). That kind of sounds like something Scheer and Bernier might cook up if we elect a minority government.

Hey doesn’t Bernier run the People’s Party of Canada? Funny that the parties have such a similar name.

And Andy is the commanding leader of all things free in Canada. Free Market, Free Hate Speech, Freedom of Religious Bigotry. CPC and conservatives like the word “free” I’ve found.

Weirdly enough, other far right conservatives are fond of nationalists and neo-Nazis. They all like that word “free”. They seem to want to associate it with their ideological brand. Weird, since Nazis don’t believe in freedom.

Won’t Greens (May) and NDP (Singh) be disappointed, being overlooked as official opposition for CPC to choose a far right nationalist, some might say neo Nazi, party to form a minority government, after they’ve so diligently worked so hard to engineer a minority govt for CPC?

Conservatives are unimaginative. They use the same themes, strategies & emotional trigger words over and over.

Why? Because it works. They’re leading in the polls.

Don’t be a sheeple. These are corrupt people. Harper was known to be devious & smart, but quite unimaginative.
