The deep irony here is the constructive ambiguity in this non disclosure agreement is likely to have a chilling effect, discouraging employees from whistleblowing, which is exactly why EHRC said these shouldn't exist and why Labour agreed with them! (ht @OzKaterji @RaynerSkyNews)

Dawn Butler's statement calling for the government to "prevent employers from using non disclosure agreements" was on 27 March 2018.
The NDA was (according to Sky News) signed by Labour and its former employee in July 2018.

You may say: well, this obviously hasn't prevented Sam Matthews from whistleblowing - but as I understand it a large group left in Spring 2018, presumably many or all on similar NDAs. How many want to whistleblow but have been scared off by the NDA?
